Freelance Blogging Rates
My rates for business web content and blog posts listed below assume the client will obtain worldwide first publication rights to any content created. Unless otherwise agreed to at the start of a project, I retain the right to link to the material in my portfolio as a sample of my work (but am not required to do so).

* For example, a 1500 word article would cost $2000 — $1500 for the first 1000 words and $500 for the additional 500 words. (NOTE: Word counts are on a per-article basis, not cumulative per-order.) The minimum rate for articles up to 500 words is $750. Articles requested between 500 and 1000 words are billed at a rate of $150 per 100 words.
Please note that business web content is not the same as web copy (such as sales materials, a website’s homepage, about page, or similar text, product descriptions, etc.). Please see my copywriting / copyediting rates for those kinds of projects.
Those rates include only drafting of the post content — they do not include creating any custom images or sourcing stock photos, design work, following up on comments, or marketing blog posts through social media services or other means.
If you would like images and comment followup included, you must setup a monthly blogging contract. Rates for contracts will be quoted when details are received (how many comments you want included, how many images, how many posts per month, etc.).
Any monthly blogging commitments will be invoiced at the beginning of each month, and there is a three month minimum covering posts, images, and / or comments.
